The most exciting places to visit in Italy

Italy has often been portrayed in various lights by various forms of media. From books like the Godfather and others, we’ve had the Mafioso perspective- gangs, crimes, and blood. Drop the Mario Puzzo books, however, and read some Dan Brown. “Angels and Demons” shows the Vatican city as a rich source of history with beautiful buildings and sculptures. This is a more positive image and we will focus on that view of Italy in this post. When considering a trip to Europe, Italy may readily not come to your mind among other bigger names like France and Switzerland. However, as we shall show here, there are really beautiful sites in Italy that you would want to visit.

Santa Maria Delle Grazie: Built in Milan since 1469, the Santa Maria Delle Grazie is an iconic building with impressive statues and a beautiful architecture. The church contains     Leonardo Da Vinci’s masterpiece painting of the Last Supper. Except you don’t value good art, you sure want to see this in person.

St. Mark’s Basilica: Located in Venice and completed as far back as the 11th century. St.     Mark’s Basilica is massive and you could get lost in there if you stray too far from your tour guide or travel group.

St. Peter’s Basilica: While the Santa Maria Delle Grazie boasts of a Da Vinci painting.     Saint Peter’s Basilica equally has some really iconic paintings by maestros like     Michelangelo and Bernini
